↓What is Finland’s Startup Entrepreneur Permit?
The Startup Entrepreneur Permit is a residence route for founders who own a recently established growth company or are preparing to establish one in Finland. It is designed for genuine startups with an innovative solution, a scalable business model and credible international growth potential—not for conventional local businesses or passive company ownership.
The route has two connected decisions. Business Finland first evaluates the venture and founding team and issues an Eligibility Statement. After a positive statement, each relocating founder submits a residence-permit application to the Finnish Immigration Service, which assesses the applicant’s identity, financial resources and general residence requirements.
